Review guidelines
A review here helps someone pick a class. Write the one you wish you'd read before you enrolled.
What makes a review useful
- Specifics. How grades actually worked, how many hours it took, what the exams were like.
- What you'd tell a friend in the same major. The thing you only figured out halfway through.
- Context. Online, hybrid or in person, and whether you were working or commuting while you took it.
- Fairness. Say what worked and what didn't, even if you didn't like the class overall.
What gets removed
- Personal attacks, insults, or threats.
- Comments on someone's appearance, identity, accent, age, family, or private life.
- Names of other students.
- Claims you know aren't true, or reviews of a class you didn't take.
- Exam questions, answer keys, or anything else that would help someone cheat.
- Ads, links to sell something, or the same review posted over and over.
What stays
- Honest negative reviews. If a class was disorganized or graded unfairly, say so.
- Strong opinions about the teaching, the workload, or the grading.
- Short reviews. One clear sentence can be enough.
Professors can't edit, hide, or delete reviews. A professor who claims their profile can add a short note of their own, which shows separately.
Reporting a review
Once accounts open, every review will have a Report button. When 3 different verified students report the same review, it's hidden until someone reviews it by hand. Until then, use the contact form and include a link to the page.
