What we collect, what's public, and what never is.
What we collect
- Your @umb.edu email, to confirm you're a UMB student and to sign you in.
- What you post: reviews, replies, and syllabi you choose to share.
- What you do on other people's posts: helpful marks, flags (with the reason you picked and any note), and your award votes.
- Professor page visits, counted per semester. Signed in, a visit is stored under a scrambled code made from your account, not the account itself. Signed out, it's stored under a random id your browser keeps (in its local storage). Only totals ever come out.
- Your points, worked out from what you posted.
- If you're a professor who claims a profile: the link and message you send, and your note. The site owner sees the email you signed in with, only to check the claim.
- A sign-in cookie so you stay logged in.
What's public
- Reviews: the text and scores, the course, the format (online, hybrid, in person), and the month and year you posted. Text needs sign-in to read, except a short preview.
- Replies: the text and the month. If you wrote the review you're replying to, the reply says “Reviewer”.
- Totals only: how many people found a review helpful, how many people viewed a professor's page this semester, and award vote standings.
What's never public
- Your name, email, or account.
- The exact day you posted. Only the month and year show.
- Which reviews, replies, syllabi, flags, or votes are yours. The admin pages don't show it either. Only the database owner can look it up, and only to answer a legal request or stop abuse.
- Who viewed a page. Visits come out as counts, never as a list of people.
- Your points and level. Only you see them.
Who else handles your data
- Supabase stores the database and runs sign-in.
- Resend sends the site owner a short email when something is flagged or requested. Those emails never include who did it.
- Lovable hosts the site.
We don't sell data, and nobody can pay to change a rating.
Your choices
- Edit a review for 30 days, and delete reviews and replies at any time.
- Change your award vote until the semester ends.
- Delete your account in Settings. It removes your reviews, replies, points, votes and page-visit records.
- Questions go through the contact form.
